Your Secret Weapon to Growing Your Biz This Year

Are you getting in the way of your own success?

I found myself asking this question to a friend of mine as she was retelling me the thousands of dollars she had spent on business programs and marketing strategies without much to show for it. Despite doing all the things that some solopreneurs would consider to be the “right” things to be doing, she still wasn’t gaining momentum.

“I don’t think I’m cut out for this small biz stuff, it’s just not working for me.” she said with a deflated tone.

I couldn’t help but feel for her, because I know exactly what it feels like to go ALL IN with your dreams and get nothing but crickets back. It can be soul destroying and heart wrenching, and make you feel as though throwing the towel in is your ONLY option. But before you say goodbye to your small biz dream, I want you to look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself:

Are you sabotaging your own success?

I mean because it could be a possibility right?

What unhelpful thoughts are you filling your head with day in day out around your business? Where are you not showing up because fear is speaking louder than your dreams?

“Success is 20% of what you do and 80% about your inner world.”

As a startup small business owner in your first few years, you are going to bump up against your deepest darkest fears, and these fears are going to try their damn hardest to stop you from reaching those goals. Why? Because the number one prime directive of your subconscious mind is to keep you safe, secure and comfortable and fear is your safety mechanism to do just that.

Your Secret Weapon – You.

Believe it or not, you are the only person in charge of your success, and what you have on replay in the background of your subconscious mind is going to play a massive role in how you show up for your dreams everyday. If your mind is telling you, you’re doomed for failure, or you’re not good enough then you will never gain enough momentum to be successful.

You are here to do BIG things, way beyond what you are currently believing you are capable of, and way beyond that soul sucking job you used to do, so follow these steps and eliminate the sabotaging behaviour keeping you stuck.

1. Master your BS metre

Your BS (bullshit) metre is the metre that lives in your head that goes ding ding ding when your mind dredges up the bullshit that isn’t true. ESPECIALLY when you are moving beyond your comfort zone. To start to become aware of this BS, you need to become the number one detective of your mind. Every time you notice the BS metre climbing, call it out! “I see you BS. I know you’re just here to keep me safe, you aren’t true.”

Neutralise it with “I am safe, I am secure, I am capable, I am okay.”

2. Don’t let fear make your decisions

It can be really easy to allow fear to drive your decisions, especially when it comes to business, because WHAT IF the decision you make isn’t the right one? The decisions you make could cost you money, clients, your reputation, criticism or worst – it could mean you’ve failed (and heaven forbid anyone finds out about that). Getting stuck between what decision to make is an easy way to get nowhere quick, it delays the number one thing you need most in business – growth. Don’t let this be you.

3. Stop searching for the perfect answer and solutions

Whatever perfect standard you are trying to achieve by making your decision the RIGHT one, or the PERFECT one to avoid disappointment or feeling like a failure… is well unattainable. Perfection doesn’t exist in reality, so look for the best decision you can make based on the information you have in this very moment, then trust and leap. As you trust, and leap the more you will prove to yourself you CAN do it, and you CAN trust in your decisions. You’ve got this!

4. Align your energy to your goals using Kinesiology

A Kinesiologist is like your secret detective who identifies all the emotional and mental blocks getting in the way of you reaching your goal, and then banishing them to kingdom come. All that stuff you have going on in your subconscious mind blocking you from business success often remains subconscious, but a Kinesiologist has a one way ticket to all that junk, by magically bypassing the conscious mind.

Well it seems like magic, but it isn’t really.

Your body and mind are one and every negative limiting belief you buy into over and over again, creates a stress. This stress if left unchecked is like an alarm bell, and if you don’t listen, then this alarm bell becomes the automatic self-sabotaging behaviours undermining your success.

See a Kinesiologist stat and align your subconscious mind with your conscious goals and boom things will be happening a lot smoother, and quicker for you! Trust me on that one.

5. Get accountable

The good thing about being a solopreneur is that you are only accountable to you, and the bad thing about being a solorpreneur is well..that you are only accountable to you. If you don’t have the discipline to reach the goals you set out for yourself, then your business won’t be a business, it will just be a passion project you work on when you feel like it.

Invest in a mentor, coach or someone who will keep you accountable.

As you put yourself first, you grow. And when you grow you will gain momentum and elevate your business. Investing in a coach or mentor can you help you fast track your success by keeping you accountable to your goals and kicking you up the ass when you need it.
